Assessment Builder

Not just our assessment. Build your own.

Beyond the AI readiness assessment, your institution can build assessments of its own, with your own dimensions, criteria and weighting. Target them at staff, students or a specific cohort, and share them across the departments in your organisation.

Your dimensions, your criteria

Define the dimensions and questions that matter to you. Every question is linked to a dimension, so the score reflects your model rather than ours.

Weighting you control

Set weights per question and per dimension, and choose your own score bands and badge thresholds.

Target it, then roll it out

Aim an assessment at specific roles, keep it inside your own organisation, share it with named organisations, or push it across every organisation in your network.

Scored and benchmarked

Custom assessments run through the same scoring and benchmarking engine as the Digital Score, with results benchmarked by sector, region and size across your respondents.

Built in a four-step wizard, with no code. Assessments are versioned, so you can revise one without detaching the submissions already taken against it. Agencies and partners can build on behalf of a commissioning council, with visibility shared between both.

No code required · Versioned · Governed by role-based access

Questions

Universities and higher education, answered.

How does it work for a university?

Staff and students complete a short AI readiness assessment that produces a 0 to 100 Digital Score across five dimensions, from AI Awareness to Learning and Development, with a readiness tier from AI Novice to AI Pioneer. Institution and cohort-level benchmarking builds on those scores.

Is there a higher-education-specific assessment?

The AI readiness assessment applies to staff and students today, and institutional benchmarking works now. A higher-education-specific assessment, faculty-level reporting, and TEF and Digital Strategy evidence reports are in active development. We would welcome partner institutions to help shape them.

Can we build our own assessments?

Yes. A no-code Assessment Builder lets your admins create assessments with their own dimensions, questions and weighting, and set their own score bands. Target an assessment at staff, students or a specific cohort, and share it across the departments in your organisation. Assessments are versioned, so revising one does not detach the submissions already taken against it.

How do we map skills?

The platform integrates the Skills England national occupation database, with Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours, so individuals can map their roles and identify gaps against the national labour market.

How do pricing and procurement work?

Pricing is tailored to the size of your institution and the number of staff and students involved. Book a demo and we will prepare a quote and talk through the procurement route that suits you.

How is data governed?

The platform is built on Microsoft Azure with Ed25519-signed audit records and multi-tenant isolation. AI use is governed by the Collaborative Human-Agent Protocol (CHAP), with a tamper-evident audit trail and a named person accountable for every decision. We are ICO registered, and working towards Cyber Essentials.
